Privacy Policy
Last Updated: February 16, 2025
Welcome to Extract My Leads (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect your personal information when you use our Extract My Leads browser extension (the “Extension”). By installing and using the Extension, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the Extension.
1. Scope of This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through:
- The Extract My Leads browser extension, which may be available on the Chrome Web Store (or other browser extension marketplaces).
- Interactions with our website or our third-party payment/licensing service, ExtensionPay, in connection with using the Extension (e.g., subscription processing).
It does not apply to other tools or services operated by us, or to any third-party websites or services that may be linked or integrated within the Extension. Those services will have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them separately.
2. Information We Collect
We collect both Personal Information and Non-Personal Information as described below. “Personal Information” is data that can be used to identify or contact you (e.g., an email address), while “Non-Personal Information” is data that cannot be used to identify you (e.g., aggregated statistics about user activity).
2.1. Information You Provide Directly
- Subscription Email Address
When you subscribe to our premium features via ExtensionPay, we collect your email address and any related data necessary to manage and verify your subscription. If you do not subscribe, we do not collect this information. - User Support Queries
If you contact us directly (e.g., via email or a contact form) for support or inquiries, we may collect any information you provide, such as your name, email address, and the content of your message.
2.2. Information the Extension Automatically Collects
- Publicly Displayed Contact Data on Facebook
The Extension scans Facebook pages, groups, and profiles to identify publicly displayed contact information (such as emails, phone numbers, or addresses). This data is processed locally on your device and is not sent to our servers unless specifically stated otherwise (e.g., for subscription verification). - Usage Statistics (Non-Personal)
We may collect anonymized or aggregated data about how users interact with the Extension (e.g., frequency of feature usage) to improve user experience and maintain the Extension’s functionality. This is typically done without logging any personally identifiable information.
2.3. Payment / License Verification via ExtensionPay
- ExtensionPay
We use ExtensionPay to process subscriptions, check license validity, and unlock premium features. This involves sending only the data necessary (e.g., your email address, Extension ID) to ExtensionPay so they can confirm your subscription status.
- We do not store full payment details, such as credit card numbers, on our servers; instead, ExtensionPay securely handles all payment data in accordance with their own privacy and security policies.
3. How We Collect Information
- Extension Interactions: When you click the Extension icon, enable extraction, or configure settings, we collect the relevant data needed to perform those actions (e.g., store your preferences in local storage).
- Subscription Processes: When you sign up for premium features through ExtensionPay, we receive confirmation of your subscription status or purchase.
- User-Initiated Communication: If you contact us directly, we collect the information you provide in your query or support request.
4. Purpose of Collecting Information
We only use the information we collect for purposes that are consistent with the Extension’s single purpose—extracting leads from Facebook—and to manage subscriptions. Specifically, we use your information to:
- Provide Core Functionality
- Extract and display contact details found on Facebook for your personal or business use.
- Enable customized settings (e.g., specifying which fields to extract).
- Administer Paid Features
- Verify premium subscriptions and process payments through ExtensionPay.
- Provide access to advanced or unlimited extraction features for subscribers.
- Improve User Experience
- Understand how users interact with the Extension and identify areas for improvement.
- Fix bugs and address technical issues.
- Communicate with You
- Send notifications (if enabled by the user) regarding the status of data extraction or subscription updates.
- Respond to your inquiries and provide technical support.
- Legal Compliance
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.
- Protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, and/or those of our affiliates, you, or others.
5. Legal Bases for Processing
Where required by law (e.g., the EU General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR), we rely on one or more of the following lawful bases:
- Consent: You have given clear consent for us to process your Personal Information (e.g., by subscribing or installing the Extension).
- Contract: Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract (e.g., fulfilling paid features).
- Legitimate Interests: Processing is necessary for our legitimate interests (e.g., ensuring the Extension functions properly and securely) and does not override your rights and freedoms.
6. How We Share or Disclose Information
We do not sell your Personal Information to third parties. We may share or disclose information in the following scenarios:
- With Service Providers:
- We may share necessary information (e.g., your subscription email) with ExtensionPay to process payments and verify licenses.
- We may also partner with other service providers (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics) strictly for the purpose of providing and improving our services.
- Legal Requirements:
- We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, court order, or other legal processes, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or comply with a legal obligation.
- Business Transfers:
- If we undergo a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that deal. We will notify you of any such transfer and any choices you may have.
- With Your Consent:
- We may share your information for additional purposes with your explicit consent.
7. Data Retention and Storage
- Local Data Storage
- Contact details extracted by the Extension remain in your local browser storage or on your device until you choose to export or delete them. We do not automatically transfer extracted data to our servers.
- Subscriber Information
- We retain your email address (if provided during subscription) for as long as you hold a valid subscription or as required for legal and financial record-keeping.
- Deletion
- You can uninstall the Extension at any time, which will remove locally stored extraction data from your browser.
- If you cancel your subscription, we will remove or anonymize your Personal Information within a reasonable timeframe, unless it is necessary to retain it for legal obligations.
8. Security Measures
We employ industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. These measures include:
- Encryption (where appropriate) for data in transit.
- Secure Storage of Credentials for subscription verification.
- Limited Access Controls so that only authorized personnel or third-party services (e.g., ExtensionPay) can access your subscription records.
No method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure; therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International Data Transfers
Depending on your location, your information (e.g., the email address used for subscription) may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We strive to ensure any data transfers comply with applicable data protection laws and that appropriate safeguards are in place.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your Personal Information, such as:
- Access: Request a copy of your Personal Information.
- Correction: Ask us to update or correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: Request that we delete your Personal Information, subject to certain exceptions.
- Restriction: Request a restriction on how we process your information.
- Objection: Object to certain types of processing, including direct marketing activities.
- Data Portability: Obtain a copy of your information in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the email address in Section 14. We will respond in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
11. Additional Disclosures for EEA & UK Residents (GDPR)
If you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom (UK), you have the rights outlined in Section 10 and may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your rights are not being respected.
12. Additional Disclosures for California Residents (CCPA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have similar rights to access, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. If you are a California resident and wish to exercise your rights, please contact us at the email address below.
13. Children’s Privacy
The Extension is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in other jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.
14. Third-Party Links and Services
The Extension or related documentation may contain links to third-party websites or services (such as Facebook or ExtensionPay). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those external websites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party you access before using their services.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. If the changes are significant, we may provide additional notice (such as an in-extension notification or email). Your continued use of the Extension after any changes indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
